Personal Profile

- Married 25 years with two children and two dogs.  My wife Adrian is currently active in my retail stores.  My youngest daughter Olivia is in her junior year at Eastern Illinois University and my eldest daughter Alexis is in Oklahoma City as a Learning Disabilities Special Education teacher with “Teachers for America.”  Celebrated 40 years in business in 2011.

Business History


-Liberty Trading – Marche Noir/Mobtown (current) – Costume jewelry manufacturer; still in existence after 40 years and proud to remain in the USA but down to one employee.  Previously manufactured plaster roman columns, angels and gargoyles.


-The Alley Stores (current) – 40 years as a serial entrepreneur including stores in Woodfield Mall and locations throughout Chicago. Still currently operating “The Alley,” “Architectural Revolution,” “Taboo Tabou” and “Blue Havana”

-Art Colony/Music Factory (current) – Own and manage 90 unit incubator building for the arts and music community with some small businesses (80% plus occupancy during recession). Started 1984 on Lake Street, currently located at 2620 W Fletcher Street in Chicago.

-Blue Star Agency – President of licensed private investigation agency

-Northern Indiana Home Health Care – Founded and acted as Executive Director.


- Central Lakeview Merchants Association – Co-founder and current member.
